Does anyone know of any online reviews of Burtons "arabian nights"? Im esp. interested in the Pall mall Gazette and other critical reviews.

I can email you a copy of a review from The Athenaeum, May 12 1888 No. 3159. It is a review of Burton's wife's version of his Arabian Nights.

I also have copies of a couple of letters from The Academy, 1885, Vol. 28:
Letter from John Addington Syjonds on Burton's first volume (Oct 3, 1885)
Letter from Edward peacock on Burton's first volume (Oct 27, 1885)

None of them are particularly critical. Let me know if you are interested in them.

If you find out about any other online resources I would be interested in hearing about them also.
